On 20 May 2026, the students of the 2nd batch (Semester 8) of the B.Sc. in Avionics Engineering program made an educational visit to the Primary Satellite Ground Station, Gazipur. During the visit, the engineers and experts of the satellite earth station delivered a detailed presentation, followed by guided tours of different sections of the station. The visit significantly enhanced the students’ knowledge and understanding of the subject “Introduction to Satellite Communication Engineering,” which is included in their academic curriculum. The visit was accompanied by Air Commodore Forhad Hossain Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Aviation Engineering and Technology; Air Commodore Dr. Mohammad Akhtar Jamil, Chairman of the Department of Avionics Engineering; Air Commodore (Retd.) Dr. Md. Afzal Hossain, Distinguished Professor, AAUB; along with other faculty members of the Department of Avionics Engineering, AAUB.
